Star rating widget
Show aggregate stars on product pages, collections, and search.
The Star Rating widget shows a product’s average score and how many reviews it has collected. It does not list full review text. It is social proof for grids, search, and the top of a product page.
What it does
It prints star icons plus an optional numeric average and count. Shoppers compare products without opening every product page.
Where it appears
- Product pages (usually near the title)
- Collection pages and in-store search results
- Any theme section where you place the star-rating app block
How it works
Enable Reviews → Widgets → Star Rating (`/admin/reviews/widgets/customize/star-rating`). Choose icon style and whether to show the average and count. The numbers always come from published reviews for that product (including reviews shared through a product group).
Unique impact
Listings are where shoppers shortlist. Stars at a glance beat a blank grid.
